Sharon (Jackson) Roys

Sharon Roys (Jackson) age 53, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2022. Sharon is preceded in death by her mother Diana Jackson, and her grandparents Bud and Betty Minnema; John and Norma Jackson. Sharon is survived by her two sons Nick (Cortney) Roys and Jack Roys and her new grandson Charlie. She is also survived by her father Jon (Julanne) Jackson, her two sisters Shelly Streeter and Sheila Balczak and brother David Jackson. As well as by her aunt Sharon Prentice, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sharon was an amazing full-hearted person who loved adventure. She adored her family and loved her two boys more than anything and was so excited to be a new grandmother. Sharon always put her family first attending all school events for her boys and always made time to go on family vacations and take her kids to the movies.

 Sharon loved spending time at the beach in Grand Haven, Michigan and watching the beautiful sunsets. She enjoyed going to concerts and listening to music. Sharon was part of the Grand Raggidy Roller Derby team for three years; her roller derby name was Gwen Stepoffme.  She also shot pool for over twenty years with Sure Shots Pool League. Sharon had such a love for adventure she even went sky diving. Sharon was set to graduate with honors this October with her bachelor’s degree in business management from SNU. Sharon will truly be missed by her family and friends.

A Visitation will be held for family and friends on Friday June 17, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Memorial Alternatives located at 2432 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505.  

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in Sharon’s honor.
