Stanley William VandenBoss, born October 17, 1939, passed away suddenly on October 2 2025. Preceded in death by his parents William and Alta Vandenboss; son David VandenBoss who passed away in September 2024; sister Barb (Jerry) Bunning; brother-in-law Harold (Ann) Defrease passed December 1, 2025.
Stanley is survived by his wife Judith; son James (Evelyn); son Steve; daughter Nancy (Red) Whip; granddaughter Michelle (Cody) Cook; great granddaughter Lillian Fae Cook; niece Lori (Greg) Advocate and their daughter Denna Advocate.
Stan worked for John Widdicomb H&R Block as an enrolled agent of the IRS for 27 years.
He had his own wood carving shop, and loved flying his own plane, a KR2 he built with close friend Roger Ranta. He even flew it to Oshkosh, WI.
A Celebration of Life for Stanley will be held on Saturday, January 17 2026 from 1pm to 4pm at Alpine Meadows Mobile Home Park clubhouse 3800 Fruit Ridge Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544 where a selection of Stan’s carvings will be available.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated to help with expenses from the fire. GOD Bless
