Thomas L. Hansen

Thomas L. Hansen passed away on October 7th, 2025 peacefully at home at the age of 82 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Celia Hansen, his children Eric, Nick, Tricia, Marie and Christine and several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Thomas was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1943, and traveled with his family to the United States in 1949. Tom served in the Navy for five years and was a sailor on a USA navy ship during the Vietnam War. Tom married Celia in 1969. Tom worked at Vankampen Trucking with Celia for 25 years. He loved to read, play cards, play board games and baseball. Tom was a wonderful cook, He also enjoyed playing his trumpet. Tom enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash and classical music. He loved making people laugh with his wonderful sense of humor and joking nature. Tom is reunited with his son Michael and grandson Christopher whom he deeply loved and missed. 

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Journey Church located at 9185 Cherry Valley Ave SE, Caledonia, MI 49316.
