Thomas Edward McCormick

Thomas Edward McCormick, 85, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on August 28, 2023, He was born in Grand Rapids Michigan, and is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Thomas, known to his loved ones as Tom, is survived by his wife Gail, her daughter Elizabeth (Mike) and son Scott (Penny); former wife Marsha and their children: daughter Maureen, and sons Jim (Bambi) and John (Teresa), along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his memory will be forever treasured by his family.

Tom received his higher education at Aquinas College.

He worked as a Computer Systems Manager and Consultant, a Pharmaceutical Representative, and an Elementary School Teacher.

He enjoyed playing chess and had a love for basketball, both as a player and spectator.

A luncheon gathering to celebrate and honor Tom's life will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parnell, Michigan. There will be a private burial, followed by a luncheon at the church at 12:15.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Tom may be made to the Grand Rapids Association for the Blind or a charity of one's choice.

Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
