Timothy J. Bouwens

Timothy James Bouwens, 63, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away on June 18, 2025. Tim was a 3rd generation die maker and committed decades to the trade. During his life, he was known for his work ethic, sense of humor, and his passion for cooking, which he passed down to his daughters. He had an impact on many lives, and a piece of him lives on with all who knew him and we are thankful for him.

Tim is preceded in death by his mother, Marcia (Weber) Bouwens and dog, Molly. He is survived by his daughters, Rita and Julie Bouwens; father Jim Bouwens; sisters Susie (Mike) Harrington, and Debbie (Geoff) Dewey; former spouse Rachel Bouwens and father-in-law Bob Huisken; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.

Cremation has taken place and Tim will be buried at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery next to his mother.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Friday June 27, 2025 at Walker Ice & Fitness, located at 4151 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49534 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
