William Stites Obituary

William J. Stites, age 87 of Rockford, Michigan passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022. He was born February 6, 1935 in Grand Rapids and enjoyed his entire life in Michigan. Bill cherished spending time with family, loved his many pets and enjoyed football, baseball and basketball. He worked in transportation, managed money brilliantly and was a terrific family provider. Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Judythe Stites; sisters, Shirley Wiersta and Betty (Robert) Olson; children, Terry (Debra) Stites, Larry (Beverly) Stites and Gary Stites; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Aaron Stites, Derek (Stephanie) Stites, Krista Stites and Hayley (Ryan) Rusco; granddaughter-in-law, Amalia Stites; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Max and Luke Stites. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lena Stites; brother, Jerry Stites; brother in law, Edwin Wierstra; nephew Robert Wierstra; grandchildren, Matthew Stites and Jeffery Stites. Bill was laid to rest February 24th at Plainfield Cemetery in Belmont, Michigan.
