I was introduced to Neal through my father Roger Cawvey. My dad and Neal were in Germany together in the Korean War. Daddy always wondered about Neal. Just months before my dad death, we found Neal. Neal and daddy wrote to each other. And then in June of 2010, Neal came to Texas to spend some time with Daddy. This visit meant the world to my dad. Daddy died 2 months later but died finally reconnecting with Neal. Neal was an amazing man. I wish that I could have spent more time with him. All my prayers for Neal's wife, LaDene and his family.

We will miss Neal's smiling face and his readiness to lend a hand doing whatever little jobs needed doing. It is perhaps fitting that it is snowing during his memorial service, because we will always remember him for coming during work hours and clearing our cars of snow while they get covered during the day. How he'd love to be out there, clearing cars as I type this.

Rest in peace my friend. You are in God's good hands . . . the best place to be. You were always so friendly and kind to me and everyone God placed in your path. I pray that LaDene and the rest of your family will experience God's peace, presence, comfort, grace and love during the coming days, weeks, months and years. Until wee meet again, Gordy

Neal always observed where he could be the most help! Neal was a real asset to our choir at St. Luke's. Many thanks! Gretchen Weaver

I met Neil at the office. He was always smiling and had such a positive attitude. I know that he is missed, and he served his therapy clients well through the years. I am sorry for the family's loss, but I know that he is enjoying heaven. Marilyn
